There is my 2nd place trophy for the entire PossAbilities tri- series. In the four races, I got four medals and a trophy for placing in my age group (15-19). The series is over now, and I will have to wait until next year to do that one again :) Posted by Hello

That's me at the end of the race after the swim... What a fun race it was! Posted by Hello

Those are two of the three (my dad is the third) troopers that woke up early to come to my triathlon... thanks guys! Posted by Hello

This is silver medalist (in the olympics) Michelle Jones... She ran in all four tris during the tri series... She is preparing for an ironman. Posted by Hello

Its been a while...

Well, I just realized that some time has passed since I have posted... or "blogged". The main reason for that is basically because not much has been going on... however, I did run a race (Great Race 10K... yay!) and I did go to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. I witnessed one of the greatest ponits in history between Federer and Hewitt... It was so amazing, and I am proud to say I was a part of the crowd that gave a standing ovation. I would try to explain it, but words can only do so much to describe a point like that :) And if I try explaining it in person, I get all excited, start acting it out and talking really fast, and then I just end up saying, "It was awesome..." I could ramble on forever, so I'll stop.
After watching so much tennis, I am pumped and ready to play. With Easter vacation coming up, hopefully there will be a lot of tennis.
Well, I've got to go so... I'll probably post again.
44 days left until I am loose with a license!

Alone on the Track

I heard the starting gun, and took off... I pushed, hurdled, and ran as fast as I could... After I finished, I glanced back at my competitors... wait, there weren't any :) The team we competed against today had absolutely no hurdlers, and neither did our team, except for me. It's actually quite interesting racing alone, you can't help back crack a few jokes and smile as you set up in the blocks with no one on either side. The 400-relay went the same way as I lead off for our relay team... tripple jump went well too (There were other competitors for that). Track is off to a good start, I'll keep updating every once in a while :)

Joshua Tree

What an awesome weekend it's been! I got back from the Joshua Tree Wilderness Challenge trip yesterday night. With so much climbing, some frisbee, an amazing race, and fun stuff, the two days flew by. We climbed at Short Wall the first day and the Amphitheatre the next. We thought we were going to get rained on that night... since rain clouds were almost everywhere but above us, we stayed dry... Thank God for the awesome weather! :) I slept under the stars (which were incredible), and the moon was so bright.
J-Tree is just an awesome place with incredible scenary. The climbing was something I couldn't get enough of... not getting to climb real rocks often, I ate it up :)
Awesome topics, too, about carrying eachother's burdens (Galatians 6:1-5) and "Am I my brother's keeper?" (Genesis 4:9-13). I loved it...
Well, I'll post some pics... Enjoy!

Off To Japan

No, not me, but my brother is! He just got accepted to go overseas for a minimum of a year to teach English as a second language in Japan. He'll be leaving in June, and he's really excited... So am I... I am one step closer to getting my own bathroom :)
Cool stuff!

Still Rainin'

Well, the rain has been going and going... It's awesome. Today during 6th hour there was a flash of lightening and then the most invredible thunder that shook my insides... It was sweet. :)

Here are some pretty awesome lyrics to a cool song... I usually repeat the song a few times whenever I hear it :)

"Let It All Out" by Relient K

Let it all out get it all out, rip it out remove it
don't be alarmed when the wound begins to bleed
cause we're so scared to find out what this life's all about
so scared we're going to lose it not knowing all along
that's exactly what we need

and today I will trust you with confidence
of a man who's never known defeat
but tomorrow, upon hearing what I did I will stare at you in disbelief
oh, inconsistent me,
crying out for consistency

and you said I know that this will hurt
but if I don't break your heart then things will just get worse
If the burden seems too much to bear
Rememberthe end will justify the pain it took to get us there

and I'll let it be known at times I have shown
signs of all my weakness but somewhere in me
there is strength

and you promise me that you believe
in time I will defeat this cause somewhere in me
there is strength

and today I will trust you with the confidence
of a man who's never known defeat and I'll try my best to just forget
that that man isn't me

reach out to me make my heart brand new
every beat will be for you for you
and I know you know you touched my life
when you touched my heavy heart and made it light

First Post

Okay, you all have to agree that the first post is the most awkward one... You just sit there wondering what to post... You wonder if you should introduce yourself, if you should write a little preview to what your blog is going to be about, or just dive right in and forget that stuff. So then you type your post out, rewrite it a couple times (cause we all know that our first post leaves a big first impression on the reader), then re-read it a few times and add little comments here and there. Finally, you nervously click 'publish post.' 5 minutes later you sit there wondering, "What should I post next?" because posting turned out to be so fun. Then finally you wonder, "Will anyone even read it... does anyone even know this blog exhists?" (Maybe some of you didn't go through that... But that is what I have experienced and come to laugh at.)
I can all ready tell that having this blog will be an interesting experience... I have no idea what I will be using it for, so my posts will be very random at most times.
Anyway, I better get this first post over with, so...ya, this is the end of the post... (I always find ending posts a little difficult).
