today's lesson is going to be physics 101... straight from freshman year, valley's intro to physics with mr. fang.
okay, lets say that i am holding a tennis ball in my hand. i hold my hand (which is holding the tennis ball) straight-arm in front of me. now, with my arm straight out, just there holding the ball, the tennis ball possesses potential energy, and only potential energy. once my hand releases the ball and it starts to fall, that's when it possesses kinetic energy.
here's the connection:
right now, i am the tennis ball, and my nerves/mind are the hand. for some reason, i just can't manage to turn that potential part of me into the actual kinectic action stuff. the paradox of it is that the more i realize the lack of kinetic happening in relation to the potential, the harder i "hold on to the tennis ball."
one fun fact: the "oy ve" is still there :)
and i seem to have a knack... a knack for very long games, and very long sets... a knack for a game with 10 deuces, holding the ad on 9 of them, and then the one ad i don't hold... well, you can guess
here's a not so fun thing...
there's a stomach-thing going around on our floor, and about half of the floor has got it. i happen to be in that half... turns out it wasn't only butterflies messing with my stomoach. and it gets even worse when your ride back from tennis isn't the smoothest shifter driving a manual car... oh man.
so first the head cold, now the stomach? i guess i'll get it all over with in one shot.
other news in this day, after a very very windy day, the pumpkin that the squirrel put in the tree has finally come down.
and the weather for today said: 25 degrees... feels like 15.
do you know what that feels like? to have wind pass through you and chill you to the bone? it's the type of weather that makes a hat and gloves mandatory in order to keep all your fiingers and make sure your brain doesn't freeze.
i need to stop now.
but hey, two weeks from tomorrow
