i'll have the works for 8, please.

quote of the night last night as jenny and i were talking and just about to fall asleep: "i have tears in my ears... and strangely, it kind of feels good."
that's what happens when you talk about 'stuff' while lying on your back the night before it's california for one and michigan for another.

i got some stuff done today, but i could have done more if i just had some glue. i don't really feel like explaining, but i am a little frustrated about the glue.

i ended up staying one more night where we've stayed the past few nights... i didn't want to head off right away to where i'll be staying for a few days, so i opted to stay here one more night. although it's quiet, and a little bit tough, having andy roddick's match being played over and over due to rain delays has helped me get through it :)

i did other stuff than just stay in the room though. first thing on my list of to-do's was one that i did immediately after my parents and jenny left this morning... get my car washed!!!
okay, usually i am a stickler about washing my car, in the sense that i take pride in (and have fun with) washing my own car. however, as i looked at all the bug juice and bug corpses all over my car, and as i realized how i just wasn't in the mood to get down and dirty with the bugs, i decided to go to this one place called soft cloth car wash (i believe). since it was tuesday, everything was cheaper (pretty sweet!) this place is where it looks like it's one of those drive through carwashes, but a guy actually does the scrubbing and removing of all the gunk in a two-step wash before sending you through the rest of the drive through wash. so i got the works, and my car looks absolutely beautiful!!! now it can blend in with the rest of the cars (except for the CA license plate). afterward, i went to gaslight village, got some starbucks and a treat and then walked down to reeds lake and just sat there. you know what, i liked what i saw... and you know what i saw? a lot of people go there and just sit there... even alone. i loved the fact that i didn't feel akward at all just sitting there, watching the sailboats on reeds lake, and relaxing in the beautiful weather. i think i have found my new favorite spot.
i also made a meijer run today, and this was my first time going when it wasn't 11pm or midnight. so when i arrived, i was shocked by a busy parking lot, long lines, and a lot of noise. a different feel to meijer during the day... i think i prefer the midnight runs... much more relaxing and kick-back. i also checked out the mall a mile down from calvin... pretty nice. i walked through to check out what they had (they didn't have any glue...angry), and then on the way out i picked up some chinese food that i ate back at my room while i watched the beginning of andy's match for the third time.
i have leftover chinese food because they gave me too much...
since then, i've just been hanging out in a room that smells like chinese food.

yup yup

we're expecting a thunderstorm tonight, and i am super excited... i absolutely love summer showers!!!

so we'll see if that happens.

ta ta my friends

it's 9pm, and it's no where near being dark yet... i think i am going ot be up for a while
