so i woke up with determination this morning... first to finish the movie, and second, to make the cards the movies come in.
i wasn't feeling very confident about my movie. i was feeling a bit down in spirit, and i felt it was missing something. my endind was clever and would produce a chuckle, but it wasn't great... it wasn't strong. so today, i learned flexibility. often times in the film industry, changes need to be made, and flexibility is a must. so, in my pretend film industry this morning, i made a change to the ending. i couldn't quite point out what my other ending was lacking, but then i figured it out... a happy ending. the other ending wasn't happy, or fun. my new idea, however, was both.
even after i finished editing and put it on the dvds, i wasn't too proud of it. i chuckled, but otherwise, it was okay.
then at house church, i waited till the very end to hand out the dvd cards, hoping i could just slip out right after. however, they managed to keep me there so everyone could watch it at once. honestly, i wasn't in the mood. but when i saw the first shot come up (which is my personal favorite shot) i started busting up, and so did everyone else. you know what, it's easier to laugh with people. i don't know why, but when i watched it at house church with everyone, i found it 10 times funnier (maybe it was because the embarassing factor came in to play, i dunno :)
anywho, good hard laughter felt good. i definitely needed the laughter, and God knew that. even though i kind of wasn't wanting to laugh, it was like God knew where i was ticklish and then just started poking... you know that feeling? like as a kid, where the kid tries to be really mad and say they won't ever smile again, but then the parents or siblings start to make faces and silly noises, and the kid tries so hard not to laugh or smile, but they can't help it... ya, that's what it was like.
feels good :)
quick shout out to my neighbor yenny, my papito, my mamita, my bro... thanks for giving me "a hand" :)
i'll see if i can somehow get the movie on to youtube sometime this week... might take a while.
alright, i am off to bed...
ready to start the last week of school before christmas... i think i can, i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...
